Episode One - Insiders
Whilst conducting a séance with his wife Caroline, Angus Jenson senses a powerful spirit and experiences a violent reaction that leaves him profoundly affected. Later he has a frightening vision of being trapped in a car and plunging through water. Scared by what he believes is an image of his own death he visits the Parapsychology Unit at Clyde University for advice.
Dr. Monaghan is on leave, honouring the anniversary of the death of his wife and son by visiting their grave, but Justine and Craig listen to Angus' story. Sceptical about the effect of the séance, Craig makes it clear he doesn't believe we can contact the dead, and Angus leaves disappointed by the lack of support. Later however, when the Police accuse him of stalking a young student, Angus returns to the Unit in desperation. But when Monaghan tells him he should see his GP Angus is again left feeling hopeless. In the University toilets he experiences another vision, this time realising the man drowning in the car is not him, but at the same time when he looks in to the mirror it seems as if his persona has changed, he has become someone else. When Monaghan is confused by Angus acting strangely, he decides the case merits further investigation.
Meanwhile, apparently driven by the spirit inside him, Angus buys a gun and is intent on finding a man named Chris Beale. After discovering Beale is staying at a Glasgow hotel, he follows him to a restaurant and approaches with the gun. Seemingly intent on using the gun Angus is interrupted by the arrival of a young woman, Kelly. He follows her to the toilets where he attempts to convince her that he is her father, by recounting intimate details of their relationship. Distraught, Kelly bites his hand and managing to escape his clutches, runs to Beale. Meanwhile, Angus, suddenly roused and with no memory of what he has said to Kelly, is horrified to see the gun he's carrying. He manages to escape from Beale and disposes of the gun, but then has another flashback of the drowning - this time seeing a man standing watching him die.
Frightened by what he tells her about the blackouts, Caroline accompanies Angus back to the Unit. Aware of his violent behaviour Angus agrees to be hypnotised to try to determine what or who is driving him. Under hypnosis, however, he becomes guarded and Monaghan and Justine suspect he's being controlled. Justine is freaked out when she sees an unfamiliar man in place of Angus when she views him through the camera lens.
Monaghan and Craig accompany Caroline and Angus home as Justine decides to investigate the student, Kelly who Angus was seen spying on. In Kelly's room, Justine is shocked to see pictures of the man she saw on the video during Angus' hypnosis. Kelly tells her it's her dad but is insistent that he's not dead - but he is missing. Clearly distressed by Justine's theory about Angus being possessed by her father's spirit, Kelly asks her to leave. Armed with new information that indicates John Tudor, a gangster, might be controlling Angus, Craig and Justine determine Beale is Angus' intended victim and is therefore in danger. Justine races to his hotel to warn him. At the Jenson house Angus and Monaghan discuss how they both tried to cope with their respective grief and Angus breaks down recognising he's not coped at all.
Later Angus and Caroline make love, but she becomes convinced that he is possessed by someone else. Attacking Monaghan he steals a car and races back to the hotel to face Chris Beale. With Caroline beside him, Craig follows. As he drives, Angus has another vision in which he sees John Tudor murdered by Beale who rams his car over the side of a harbour wall. Fired by his anger, Angus drives on.
Meanwhile at the hotel, Kelly Tudor tells Beale she can't comprehend how this stranger knows personal details about her and her father - obviously Justine's theory is playing on her mind. When Justine fails to rouse Angus from Tudor's control, he finds Beale and attacks him. Kelly can only watch in horror as Angus tries to drown Beale in the bath. Fighting for breath Beale eventually confesses to Kelly that he did kill her dad. Justine and Craig burst in and in the ensuing struggle the spirit of Tudor leaves Angus' body.
Later, Angus visits Monaghan in the Unit to thank him for his help.
I really enjoyed episode 1 . . .5 more to go hope they are just as good

In this next weeks TV guide - on the next episode...
'Craig becomes aware of Justines paranormal abilites when she experiences vivid, sporadic visions pointing towards a violent death. After monitoring her brainwaves in a flotation tank, a number of shocking images come to light - leading them into terrible danger.'
Sounds good xx
