Im now beginning to think that the show really does need Derek to leave just if anything to enable them to change the format slightly and have better relations between the team as I doubt all the (supposed) bad feelings can be helping them contact spirits as they feed of their energy. (or somthing like that!)

Hey new to the site. some of you know me some wont have a clue. If derek left the show it would be very different cause his possesions bring a touch of comedy to it dont you think? But i would still watch the show as i have been to 1 live and would deffinatly go again.

I absolutely will still watch! I think he's a great man, just not the worlds greatest medium (although I'm willing to be proved wrong). In the years that he worked on Most Haunted, they didn't really get anything THAT spectacular or create allegedly real communication with spirits that they could ALL experience or hear, like the knocks and rappings that seem to occur when David works with them. Whether they are really caused by spirits, or if David has some spectacularly clever way of creating them without anyone noticing (which I don't seriously think by the way lol) - it's far more interesting in my opinion. No disrespect to Derek though, I do like him a lot. Lou, I think he already has left!

I will still watch MH because Karl is in it :dribble: I like it when he goes on lone vigils He and Rick Fielding made a good pair when they went off investigating together and they made me laugh (wonder if Rick Fielding has his own forum/website )

I think Derek leaving will give the show a new lease of life, I do like him but it has been better with more than one medium on hand with David Wells currently assisting. I cant wait to see Gordon Smith on the show, I have seen him on a medium documentary type thing a few months ago and I thought he was really good. So as for stopping watching MH . . . no way!

At least Derek was entertaining. Gordon Smith is arrogant. Asked on the BBC documentry what his reply would be to sceptics, he got all uptight and said something like "I don't need to prove myself to them".
Well if your conning people out of money, then yes you do.

I have heard so much about this Gordon Smith that despite really disliking mediums I cant wait to see him.
I am expecting a totally different approach to Derek of course but I expect to be as cynical about Gordon as I was about Derek.
Still, will give him a chance...never know he might shock me. ;D
