"come on man, like Jackie said its a TV program (and yes a great one) and whether its taken as entertainment or ghost hunting is down to the individual, who are you to knock anyone making money, do we all not need it?
They do it because it was and is a bloody good idea for a program, its something they have a big interest in as does millions of other people out there and yes they did think they could make money out of it, but it hasn't been easy and in the beginning they weren't even sure if they could pull it off!
It has taken them so long to get this program where it is today with Karl (especially in the beginning) often not getting to bed till 3/4am and getting up at 8/9 to carry on!
They so deserve the success this program has bought them and i am gonna enjoy watching their success grow over the coming months/years."
OK as a member of the badpsychics forum for an age, if you've ever read my posts over there, your know I actually don't HATE the show. Yes it annoys me but I don't hate it. Not only this but I've also, in the past and even now do not blame them at all in making money out of this. If you had a show that is making you a shed load of cash, then so be it. What kinda annoyed was pretending its something that its not. I.E. a proper investigation. And the fact that at times, while watching it, I want to rip my arm off just so I have something to throw at the TV as some of the things they do are extremely annoying
Table tipping for one and many more. But, don't get me wrong, I don't hate the show, it annoys me more than anything but I still watch.
I'll also add the point "Who are you to knock anybody making money". Hmm, really? So you believe its ok for a cowboy to come around and fix a leaking pipe that takes all of 2mins to fix. Should only cost say £30 labour yet charging £100. Ineffect ripping people off. If anyone rips people off in a bid to make money, then yes I feel I have a right to comment and shout from the roof tops thanks. I don't like PCWorld. As an IT Tech, I know they grossly over charge, especially for their repairing PC costs. This D&G group are making money from this, and yes I feel the need to warn people that PCWorld is overpriced.
So in answer to who am I. I'm the person that hates to see people get ripped off. Make money by all means but if you rip people off in the process or mislead, then thats not a nice thing now is it?
"Could you handle constantly having insults thrown at you day after day? In the end this kind of behaviour takes its toll. She may be a celeb but she has feelings like the rest of us!"
No offence to Yvette and I could be wrong but could I handle it everyday? Hmm well if I had the money she had, maybe. Not only this but MHed is not really mentioned anyway I can see apart from on the net, in forums. I never see it mentioned in papers and I don't by magazines except my PCFormat and it sure ain't ever mentioned in there
so all I can see is that these insults are from the Living Forum. If so, then why not just stop reading the living forum.
Again no offence to Yvette, but there are so many A listed stars that are in the papers alot. Hounded etc etc. When interviewed they say does it bother them, they just reply, no as I don't read the papers.
Yes I know its not that easy, but its kinda my point. Yvette should stop reading these comments. Stop listening to these people, its their opinion, their view and at the end of the day, they don't know her at all. The only people that know her are the people close to her, her friends, her husband and her kids. Aslong as they all love and care for her, who cares what anyone else says about you.
If I had so many people around me like that who cared, I'm sorry but I doubt I'd let what a few people who don't know me at all, have to say bother me.
But then thats just me.
"There is nothing wrong with critising anything, if we all had the same views then this world would be a very boring place. However you have started letting it become a little personnal. I know they try to do a proper investigation however its down to the individual to believe what they like, investigative or entertainment people watch it for their own reasons. And why shouldn't they make money out of it, it is their job and everyone needs to make a living everyone follows their own paths in life and this is what they do, as i said they lost money in the beginning.
There are so many other shows that do the text/ring thing, ie Big Brother, i'm a celeb get me out of here, fame academy etc.. the list goes on so why only knock mhed for it and its not even karl's idea Richard Wolfe decided that to line his own pocket."
I think the main problem I had was the Live shows for the txting in. Yes Karl and Yvette get very little of that money, but why accept any of it. Yes other shows do it, but they are what they are. MHed is pretending its something its not. Purposely not mentioning that the bangs your hearing etc etc could be the piping, could be heating, just so you can get more people to stick around and watch. Is that not misleading. Why, when Louie Savva, is on the coach on the Live shows and that other bloke. Why do they get booed when they give other, more logical scientific reasons for what could be happening? Yes this has nothing to do with Karl and Yvette and the crew, but could they not encourage their viewers to be more opened minded and not attack these 2 innocent people. Why does David Bull who's suppose to be neutral and a sceptic also attack what Louie Savva and the other bloke have to say, at times. As sometimes David Bull will say something like "Oh come on, thats clear evidence". Well no, not until you do further studies its not.
Another point I'll add here. On one of the shows, where the spoon or fork was thrown. Its annoying me now 'cause I can't remember his name. But that other bloke that works at the Uni. The parapschologist (is that spelt right). As a scientist. Has to question things, has to eliminate all other possiblities. So he asked the crew if anyone of them threw it and if they were lying. He in NO WAY, was implying they were liars or if they had thrown it. But, as a sceptic and scientist, thats his job, to question. Yet Karl and Yvette, you could tell were clearly offended by this. Why? Its his job, to eliminate all possible reasons for it. He was branding them as liars, so why get pissed. That bit just seemed very odd to me.
"So come on Joey, live and let live, lifes to short it looks to me that you've let this hate thing for MHed take over your life. Emma xx"
Ah but you have me all wrong
I don't let it ruin my life. It really doesn't bother me. Its just I kinda like to maybe, open a few hardcore believers into at least questioning the show. I heard of so many believers suddenly opening their eyes, all by themself and feeling cheated. Feeling that all those years they've been lied to (their views not mine).
Good luck I say to Yvette and Karl if they can make money out of this. And I fear Ciaran is turning to the darkside, but like I've said elsewhere. If they pay him the good money I think they will, I really don't blame him. As Uni wages are normally crap.
All I ask is that they drop the Mediums and stop pretending they are something they are not. And put a disclaimer on the credits that says 'Entertainment Show'. Then I'd be happy
One last thing. If your a proper investigation then why not use the MHed Extra show as a follow up on the evidence you've found. Why does Karl now say "sit back and enjoy, its gonna be scary". So does this mean every episode of the Extra show, you know is gonna be scary, because something will be made to happen? Or is this just playing off peoples fears?
If your a proper investigation show can I see a site like this please
www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/With all the evidence you've gathered over the years. EVP, if any, evidence. Footage of so called spirits that may have been caught. I don't see any. Its a 'Do an episode and forget about it', type of thing.
So just en entertainment show then is it. Ah I see, I feel sorry for all you believers then. Who believe in spirits and believe that this show is actually finding them and incontact with them via table tipping and that glass thang. Could it no be classed as a cult? Where in a cult the leader misleads his believers into believing he's God or an Alien etc etc. Could MHed not be classed as the leader? And that it is misleading its believers that they are incontact with spirits etc etc?
These are just opinions. No need to take offence. I don't let it ruin or run my life, honest
I type here when I'm bored.
Good luck to them if they can make money out of such a show. Just aslong as they ain't faking or misleading, then so be it.
And just 'cause I don't believe in it, doesn't make me a sad person or even a bad person for any of you that may think that
And if I knew Yvette and Karl as close friends then, yes maybe my view would change. But I don't so these are just my opinions from what I see on the show, every week.
EDIT-And to strauss. I'm am in no way Jealous or their success. Good on them if they are, but if they are infact misleading, then its not very nice is it.
Just because my views are negative and don't agree with yours doesn't mean I'm jealous. Mainly because I'm giving so much evidence. If I just said "Its rubbish, why watch it. I'm sick of the money they've made from it" And left it then you might have a point. It again smacks of someone who is judging me and thinking they know me on what I'm saying, when infact you don't know me at all. If you did, you'd know I'm not in the least bit jealous. Although of course I'd love all the money they've got
who wouldn't. BUT, I would NEVER, be someones friend just because they are famous or the money they have. If they are rich and an arse then I still don't wanna know them. And I would never feel I know someone, i.e Karl and Yvette just from what I see on the TV as I don't know them at all.
I know I don't get star struck. As back in London I use to work In Waitrose in Ealing. Due to it being near the BBC, loads of peeps from the telly came in and it didn't bother me at all. Connie Hug, Richard Bacon, John Sargent, Angelica Bell, Darren Jorden, Penny Smith, Jeffery from Fresh Prince of Bell Air and others I can't remember now.
I don't know about you but I find it kinda funny, maybe ironic but in a good sense, when you get films like
Arthur
What I mean is, the fact that the person in the movie, that being Dudley Moore was, maybe not at that time but close to, as rich as the person he was playing in the film. Apprently when he died he left an estate valued at $900 million.
Makes me smile with a, WOW! I don't know why, just does. I think its 'cause I float off to my dream world then. Wondering what it would be like. Same with Pretty woman, both Stars of that have enough money to live like they do in the film. It oddly, I don't know why, gives me a magical feeling inside
