Ah, but thats just what Ofcom said. It doesnt require an entertainment tag on each show, because it is deemed as entertainment in itself. This is due to the fact that its not conducted under laboratory conditions and anything which occurs on the show cant be proved to be real or not, as the case may be. Like I've said before, I believe that Karl and some of the others do want to carry out an investigation seriously. I'm not saying that there havent been occasions when maybe something may have happened which causes people to question the show. You only have to read forums to know that! Unfortunately, it wouldnt matter what television channel the show was on, and it wouldnt matter what happened during the show, they could never prove what they are experience is real, in the same way that we cant prove its not. Oh, and welcome to the forum, btw....

I have been aware of its lack of truth for years, and have stated many times on the MH Forum that it is no more than entertainment. In my opinion 95 percent against it being a real investigation, the 5 percent for being they are actually visiting sites which are said to have Ghosts, Based on historical records and actual events. But kids are influenced by it, and part with cash, and involve themselves in allsorts of arguements defending the shows statements of truth. It is for that reason I urge them to at least come clean. I do believe it is possible to create a Ghost Investigation in which people can believe in. Just needs some serious and respected Guests, and presenters, and rather than claiming events are real. It did almost happen once, when filming Famous and Frightened, The Ghosts Uk, walked off set after antics by Ian Lawman, so there honest people out there. I doubt it will happen, but live in hope.

I have to disagree with you to an extent, mosthaunted. The perception that all Most Haunted fans are slightly deluded individuals who greedily lap up and believe everything they see on the show at face value is nothing but a media construct (articles such as The Sun and Mirror pieces perpetuate this). I can't speak for everyone but from the people I know, most of us are sensible people who can make up their own minds. The phrase "You decide..." is pretty much the show's tagline. Nobody is forced to part with their money or time to have anything to do with the show. In my humble opinion, of course, and no offence intended.

I didn't say all Most Haunted fans, just really pointing out that many are infleunced by the statements claimed. You only have to read the "Help I have a ghost" threads, or those claiming to do there own investigation.
Kids being what they are, it is likely that one or two could get hurt while doing there own investigation because they believe what they hear and see on the show. Not by paranormal activity but just going to dangerous locations etc.
I am also an avid viewer of the show, though probably not for the same reasons yours are. My interest is through historical research, which I first started to support the show, but found otherwise. But I still find it entertaining.
