Why do they do it? ? We dont have a canteen or anything like that at work just a kitchen with a fridge, microwave and toaster so we have to bring our own stuff in. I have just gone to make some toast and when I got MY butter out of the fridge I opened it up to find toast crumbs and jam in it. I wouldn't mind but the thing that annoys me most in the world is crumbs in butter and the fact there is jam in it is just disgusting. Why cant people ask before they use other peoples things and when they do use them why cant they respect the wishes of the person you borrow it from not to do something. I know it's only a 90p tub of butter but it's the principle of the thing. Anyway rant over for now.

Me too, toast crumbs in the marg have been driving me mad at home lately – I'm always convinced they're going to go off and give us all food poisoning!

Ya i've had that happen too. But I've also had somethng similar but much more gross happen. I used to work at a cancer clinic giving chemo to patients and we shared a refrigerator with the patients and their families. Usually very few problems sometimes sodas or frozen foods would "disappear" but nothing extreme. One day I new I was way too busy to take a lunch so I ran in on a quick break and ate half of my sandwich and put it back into the frige to hopefully eat later. You guessed it, I went back at the end of the day and it was gone, i found the empty plate and no sandwich. I talked to one of the other nurses and she said that one of her patients family members was eating half a sandwich right before they left. EWWWWW! I'm a nurse and that even grosses me out!
