I wrote this for Johnny Depp as I think he is the best actor around today and sexy too.
It all started with a nightmare, In the Frightening Elm Street,
He got sucked into his bed, it’s a pity he fell asleep.
He then went very private, in a nice hotel resort,
Where the only thing that interested him, were the girls that he could court.
It then got very serious, so fast and oh so soon,
In the war film set in Vietnam, he was one of the Platoon,
But then the movies stopped, so just to make ends meet,
He signed up for the telly, in a series called Jump Street.
But this just made him mad, and sent him a little crazy,
So he joined up with John Waters, to be the next Crybaby.
From there all that he wanted, was the best part he could land,
And didn’t he just get it, in Edward Scissorhands.
Next came the final Nightmare, but this time there’s no bed,
And Luckily for everyone, the horrible Freddy is dead.
So now the nightmares over, for now at least it seems,
He’ll go visit Arizona, and live out all his dreams.
And that’s just what he did, in the sensitive Benny & Joon,
As he was doing what he wanted, and ignoring fame and fortune.
Then things started to get tough, when he started Gilbert Grape,
He had to make a move, and get his life back into shape.
He pulled himself together, and things started to come good,
When he started work with his friend again, In the movie called Ed Wood.
In the passionate Don Juan, he found another worthy friend,
His co star Marlon Brando, who upon he could depend.
From the world’s greatest lover, to Jim Jarmusch’s Deadman,
Where he brings the film alive, in the way that only he can.
It then got oh so scary, in the thriller nick of time,
He had to kill the governor, would he be next in line.
That led him to his next role, where he partnered Al Pacino,
In that very real mobster movie, we know as Donnie Brasco.
He then turned to do directing, which some would say was brave,
But he couldn’t understand, the views some critics gave.
From there more real life acting, as Raoul Duke in Fear and Loathing,
He took the part quite literally, and borrowed Hunters clothing.
Suddenly it all went weird, with two films you’ll love or hate,
The scientific astronauts wife, and the devilish ninth gate.
Then back to some normality, with the fabulous sleepy hollow,
The heads they were a rolling, would his be next to follow.
Then the best thing that could happen, the birth of Lily Rose,
Was followed by three films in which he had small cameos.
The man who cried, before night falls, and everyone’s favourite Chocolat,
Where he played the leading man, in that famous Gypsy way.
Back then to real life, with the portrayal of George Jung,
Who lost everything he had, when it went so terribly wrong.
It didn’t get much better, when from that prison cell,
He came across the Ripper, in his next film called From Hell.
He took a well-earned break, to spend time with new son Jack,
Along with the rest of his family, but don’t worry he’ll be back.
And oh boy did he come back, in his best film up to yet,
To be in a pirate movie, how lucky can one guy get.
In Pirates of the Caribbean, the curse of the Black Pearl,
Even with the rank of Captain, he still didn’t get the girl.
From the Caribbean to Mexico, perhaps that wasn’t wise,
Cause once upon a time, I met a man who’d lost his eyes.
Next up came secret window, a psychological thriller,
And whoever would have guessed, that he’d become the killer.
Back again to real life, the portrayal of a Scottish man,
Who’s name was J M Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan.
And staying with real life, he took the role of a filthy beast,
The Earl of Rochester in the Libertine, its still to be released.
From there a Children’s classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,
And although he looks quite weird, it’s the film I can’t wait to see.
Then we will hear his voice, in his next film The Corpse Bride,
I’m not sure what it’s about, but I think he marries someone who’s died.
Back then to Captain Jack, for Pirates two and three,
They’re better than the 1st, which is no surprise to me.
