Chillingham Castle is a rare secluded medieval fortress set in Northumberland's countryside. The castle is home to Sir Humphry and Lady Wakefield whose family, the Grey family, have lived there since the twelve hundreds.
The Castle has lived through sieges and hosted kings including Henry III in 1255 and Edward I in 1298 to Edward, Prince of Wales in 1872 and members of the Royal Family today.
The most famous ghost of Chillingham Castle is the "blue boy" who as midnight rang out would cry and moan in agony or maybe fear. The noises could be traced to a spot near a passage cut through a ten foot wall.
When the bloodcurdling wails die away a soft halo of light appears around an old four poster bed. Anyone sleeping there, even today, can see the figure of a young boy dressed in blue, and surrounded by light. In the 1920's, behind the wall, the bones of a young boy and fragments of blue clothing were discovered.
Another ghost, Lady Mary Berkeley, searches for her husband, who ran off with her sister. Lady Mary, desolate and broken hearted lived in the castle by herself with only her baby girl as a companion. The rustle of her dress can be heard as she passes you by in the turret stairs.
There is also a frail white figure - a lady in white who has been seen looking for water in the pantry which was once used to store the silverware.
The Ghost in the Chamber is said to be a chef who long ago, committed suicide in this bedroom and still haunts it. No one uses the room as a bedroom now.
Voices in the Library have also been heard. But it's impossible to distinguish what they are saying, and, they stop at once if you stop reading or writing to listen to their discussion….
WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THE MOST HAUNTED CREW VISITED?
Derek not only sees but feels The Blue Flash Boy whose bones were buried in the wall of a bedroom.
A hissing noise in the corridor spooks the Crew...
Derek contacts Lady Mary Berkley, a spirit of a lady who used to live there!
Elsewhere, Karl sees a white box move by itself when filming in a storage room that used to be a torture chamber.
