Well at the beginning of this year I told myself that rather than make a new years resolution I would just try things I have never done before, which I did.
One of which was to go to the theatre to see a play rather than a musical which was really good as it had Peter Amory in and well I like him.
I also got into Most Haunted this year especially the delightful producer Karl Beattie, which led me to this site, and to all the friendly people on here. Which then led me to do something else I have never done before which was to go to the MH live shows, and although I didn't really get to meet the lovely Karl Beattie, I did manage to meet some of the people off the forum and that was brilliant and I had a great time especially in Liverpool.
As for this year I think my 2 main aims in doing something I have never done before are:
1. To try and meet the lovely Karl Beattie and claim my kiss and cuddle and
2. To try and meet the ever so wonderful sexy Johnny Depp at the Pirates of the Carribbean 2 - Dead Mans Chest premiere.
So here's hoping 2006 will be a better year than 2005, although 2005 wasn't too bad a year for myself, which I know is more than what some people can say.

Hope you manage to achieve your 2 main aims in 2006 kb! Well i think the main highlight of 2005 for me was going to Canada in March and visiting Niagra Falls, even though we were subjected to typical Canadian weather and had blizzards for most of the time! We also managed to have dinner in the restaurant at the top of the CN Tower (one of the tallest buildings in the world) which was a personal achievment for me as i am scared to death of heights!! Like you Kb I have only really got into Mh this year and have to agree that attending the last 3 live shows has been fantastic, along with meeting some fantastic people from this forum, members of the mh crew and not forgetting the fantastic Mr Beattie! So a big thank you to Jackie, Emma and all the Mods for giving us this brilliant site and putting so much time and effort into arranging meetings etc I hope everyone has a brilliant 2006 and that you all have many highlights to post at the end of next year! xxx

Gosh, good question. I had to make a very difficult decision this year as you know about whether or not to have quite a scary operation. In the end, obviously I went for it as my health was deteriorating and my large intestine was, not wishing to sound TOO overdramatic, nearly dead. It's been a big ordeal, and I've now got the responsibility of having an ileostomy which at the age of nineteen I never thought would ever happen to me. I thought they were what old people had! I didn't even know what one was until a year or two ago! But I'm determined to use my own experience and help other young people who are facing this. So although it's been hard, it's also been for some very good reasons, and I am beginning to see the benefits of having it done already! So I think that is my true highlight of 2005. Other highlights that were still pretty cool though were obviously having the oppurtunity to go to two MHL's, meeting Karl and all you fantastically lovely people on this fantastically lovely board, getting my A Levels and discovering Reiki and making some really worthwhile, fab new friends.

Well, an awful lot has happened to me in the past year to be honest! If anybody would have told me a year ago that I would have so many friends in so many places, and that among those friends are Karl and Stu, I would have laughed in their faces! A year ago, this site didnt exist, I had been to one MHL which was a total disaster (Maes Artro) and I had been on the grand total of one ghost hunt and I led a very boring, mundane life, spending most of my internet time on the LivingTV forum trying to decipher the gossip from fact! Now, there is this!! This fab forum with its fab people!!! I travel up and down the country to MHLs, ghost hunts etc and have had an absolute blast! I just hope that 2006 is every bit as fun as 2005 was! I would like to thank *wipes tear* the lovely Lisa Kirkland, for helping the site when it first started up and for being such a cracking best mate! Also, to the lovely Emma, who without her, Karl would probably have never known about this site! Another of my best friends And to each and every one of you lovely forum members for making this place so special and such a nice place to be *sobs, wipes yet more tears* Speeches over...let the drinking commence!! Oh, and one more thing that I would like for 2006.......a snog..... I actually managed to go through a whole year and not snog a single man, which has to be an all time personal best...hahahahahaha So, here's to each and everyone of you for making this site the friendliest on the net! [glow=red,2,300]Happy New Year!!!!!![/glow]

I think the highs of 2005 for me are..... joining this great site as i feel like i have lots of friends on here, also not forgetting the 2 fantastic lives that i went too with strauss, meeting karl ( of course ) also jay starting his special school as he has come on so much and is using words like ' i see' so he is seeing himself as a person which for autism is great ! also just excepting myself for who i am , and learning to take one day at a time.
